Releases from the Jordan Brand hit hard and hit hard often in 2011. The year started with the return of the "Cement" Air Jordan Retro 3 in January and finished with the controversial "Concord" 11s in December. In between, three different versions of the Air Jordan 2011 were released; Michael Jordan's birth year and the Year of the Rabbit were celebrated with special releases; the Air Jordan 5 joined the Bin23 family in an all-black premium leather look; Ray Allen broke the all-time three-point record in a PE colorway of the Air Jordan 13 that eventually dropped in limited numbers; the "Banned" Air Jordan Retro 1 was limited to Nike outlets; and a few previously un-retroed classics were reissued for the very first time.
It was definitely an eventful year for the Jordan Brand, so read on for a recap of 2011s best Jumpman releases in no particular order. Plenty of notable releases didn't make the cut, so be sure to let us know which pairs you'd like to add and/or remove.
Be sure to look out for more lists when you downloadSole Collector's January iPad Issue.
